The WSGA provides numerous golfing tournament opportunities for its members and guests-whether through the various annual tournaments hosted by the WSGA itself or tournaments hosted by member clubs. These tournaments are designed to promote spirited and challenging competitions, networking opportunities, friendships and camaraderie.
Tournament sites are chosen to widen our members exposure to golf courses where cost and/or privilege may have created barriers to play. WSGA tournaments consider all player levels, from highly skilled amateurs, to recreational and beginner players in an effort to promote a rewarding experience for its members. WSGA occasionally hosts Golf getaways for members interested in golfing exploration and adventure.
Tournament formats range from stroke play, to match play, to various scramble games. WSGA tournaments normally issues cash prizes and awards to tournament winners.
In order to encourage player improvement, golf clinics and lessons are offered by various member clubs. WSGA member clubs also host charitable tournaments within their communities.
