A Message from
The President

Lewis Braxton, III

I want all our Western State Golf Association (WSGA) members, alumni, and friends to know how fortunate and grateful I am to serve as the 19th President of the Western State Golf Association (WSGA). Since our beginning in 1954, the WSGA has faced and overcome many challenges aimed at excluding many citizens from enjoying the great game of golf. We owe much to the individuals across the six western states who confronted and fought to tear down many of the barriers designed to exclude people of color.
